I came across this mural while walking in uptown Normal. I love all the different colors used and how it turned a dull parking lot into a piece of artwork. I think this mural helps to depict the craziness that our town has to offer, everything from the wine and food painting to the guy playing to guitar. It shows all these different and random images that seem all over the place but, at the same time its so neatly done and organized. It helps shape our community with a touch of art! It gives our town a sense of unity.
This window can be found at the Garlic Press. What I love about this window is how well organized it is. I also like how all the colors coordinate and are laid out neatly. When I walked by this window it inspired me to want to go home and start cooking! It makes the kitchen look cute again, and not so overwhelming which at times it can be!

This is the window display of the The Pod in uptown Normal. This window has awesome colors with such a visual presence. A customer is able to foreshadow what type of shop this is and the atmosphere it holds with such a colorful and detailed visual display!

This is the LOFT's main window display. Though it has a nice unity of color and clean cut style, the mannequins appear off balance causing your eyes to focus on the two that are lifted to the right. Having the two mannequins on the right instead of in the middle interrupts this windows flow. Their was also a lot of height to work with in the window, but wasn't taken advantage of.

This is a very well balanced, proportionate, and unified window at White House Black Market. They kept a very strict unity of similar colors: black white and teal on all the mannequins. The mannequins are all evenly distributed in the window and the same size. The lighting keeps the emphasis on this window spread out so the eye flows nicely and see's the window as a whole. The window is very well organized with a nice and simple but sophisticated display.
This Coldwater Creek window has a great sense of unity with similar colors throughout the display. The window is well balanced and displays a great emphasis on the mannequin in the center which also helps promote ways to wear their merchandise with such a layered look. The window displays visual presence with such relatable and casual looks. The denim of denim is shown by the printed quote on the window as well as the dress theme for the mannequins displayed.
What a warm and colorful window done at Francesca's! Great display of merchandise, but seems a little cluttered. The mannequins are so crowed the one farthest to the left was touching a wardrobe rack of merchandise. Great emphasis on their new fall merchandise with such large and layered up mannequins!
I love the creativity of the hanging pencils in this photo! This is an Apricot Lane Boutique window display that is perfect for back-to-school time. This window is well balanced with two of the same size mannequins at the same height. The window is well lit with a warm feel that is perfect for the fall season just around the corner.
